What is it?
Eurora’s Restrictions Screening services consist of three different sub-services – Import Restrictions Screening, Export Restrictions Screening, and Denied Parties Screening. All help you to make sure you sell goods to other countries with full compliance with their local laws.
The Import & Export Restrictions Screening services help identify items subject to any import or export restrictions. This makes it possible to avoid misunderstandings at customs and costs related to the unexpected need to return goods, as well as to avoid possible fines.
The Denied Parties Screening services helps you identify parties involved in a transaction, such as the recipient, who are on a sanctioned persons list. This helps you avoid selling to individuals, companies, or organizations upon whom government authorities have imposed restrictions or bans on their right to trade.
Who is it for?
The main users of our restriction services are online marketplaces, logistics companies, and courier companies. The service is also suitable for other parties in the international supply chain, who want to minimize delays at customs.
How does it work?
Import restriction screening
After assessing the goods, their dispatch country and their destination country, the service provides information on the import restrictions and prohibitions applicable to the goods in the destination country.
The information is simple and tells you if there are no restrictions on the import, if import is allowed under certain conditions (if the goods are imported into the member states of the European Union or the United Kingdom) or if import is prohibited. It also indicates the appropriate resolution steps for these outcomes.
Import restrictions screening is available on Eurora’s Service Portal, as well as through direct API calls. For the Portal users the service is combined with Eurora HS Code Allocation which assigns the code in case no HS-code is provided by the customer.
Export Restriction Screening
After assessing the goods, their dispatch country and their destination country, the service provides information on the export restrictions and prohibitions applicable to the goods in the dispatch country. It also indicates the license requirements and other conditions that are related to export of the goods.
Eurora Export Restriction Screening can process dual-use related rules only or return all the applicable export measures and certificates.
Export Restrictions Screening is based on the HS commodity code or on the Export Control Classification Number (for United States rules), but the service can also be used by knowing the commodity description only.
Export Restrictions Screening is only available through API integration.
Denied Parties Screening
Eurora gathers real-time information on denied parties by accessing information from hundreds of key global and national lists. It uses the provided geographical and personal information to determine the likelihood of a customer or supply chain partner being a denied party. This information is delivered as a risk score with accompanying data on the lists they are included on and the type of match. This indication gives the ability to refuse or cancel a sale of products or services.
Denied parties screening is available on Eurora’s Service Portal, as well as through direct API calls.
