Selling to United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) as a non-UK company?
Within United Kingdom, only Northern Ireland is part of IOSS scheme and therefore supported by Eurora Tax Automation. Since Northern Ireland is part of UK as well as IOSS, you should be aware of the UK regulations before proceeding with updating store settings.

As a non-UK company selling to United Kingdom, all your orders up to £135 should be taxed. This means that you need a UK VAT number and submit VAT returns to the UK government. Regarding tax collection, the general rule is that you should collect VAT for orders up to £135 to UK (with exception of Northern Ireland that follows a rule of up to €150).
To ensure that you are collecting the correct VAT for the whole UK, and assuming you already have a UK VAT number, you should set up VAT collection for UK.
- To get started, click on Taxes and duties from the left-hand side, followed by selecting United Kingdom
- Then click on Collect VAT.
- Type in the UK VAT number that Eurora Tax Consultant (or other service provider) gave you and click Collect VAT
ℹ️ Please note that if you have orders up to £135 to the UK, but haven’t submitted VAT returns using a UK VAT number, you may be penalized by the UK government. Get in touch with us via live chat or email to register for UK VAT number.
