Q: Does the Service provide information about the restrictions of the Dispatch country or the Destination country?
A:
The Service checks the restrictions of the Destination country.
Q: Which data fields are mandatory?
A:
You have to enter “Dispatch country”, “Destination country”, “Order date”, and “HS code”. If you don’t know the correct HS code for your item, you can simply enter the description of the goods and ask for the HS code (“Generate HS code” button).
Q: Should I use the HS code of the Destination country or the Dispatch country?
A:
The HS code of the Destination country is required to check for restrictions. If you don’t know the correct HS code for your item, you can simply enter the description of the goods and ask for the HS code (“Generate HS code” button).
Q: How many digits of the HS code do I need to enter?
A:
The service requires at least a 10-digit HS code for screening the restrictions of the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.
For other countries, you need to enter at least a 6-digit HS code.
Q: What restrictions does the Service check?
A:
If the destination country is an EU member state, you will receive a response about the import restrictions imposed at the EU level and which apply to all EU countries. In some cases, Member States may impose additional national restrictions.
If the destination country is the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, or the United States, you will receive information about the import restrictions imposed at the national level.
For other countries, you will receive information about restrictions on the transportation of goods.
Q: What does “conditions apply” mean?
A:
The import of very few goods is completely prohibited. At the same time, the import of many goods are contingent on the submission of additional documents, or the fulfillment of other requirements.
“Conditions apply” indicates which conditions must be met in order to import the goods.

A denied parties list is a list of persons and legal entities subject to restrictive measures based on international and national sanctions.
Q: Why should I use the Service?
A:
All business transactions/dealings directly or indirectly related to persons and legal entities on the list are prohibited by law.
Q: Which data fields are mandatory?
A:
You have to enter at least the name(s) of the person or legal entity, and the country.
Q: Which sanctions lists are covered by the Service?
A:
The Service checks persons and legal entities against the individual sanctions lists from the United Nations, the EU, the US, Canada, Singapore and the UK.
Q: What does “high risk” mean?
A:
The data of the screened person or legal entity significantly overlaps with the data of some persons or legal entities on the denied parties list.
Q: What does “moderate risk” mean?
A:
The data of the screened person or legal entity somewhat overlaps with the data of some persons or legal entities on the denied parties list.
Q: What does “low risk” mean?
A:
The data of the screened person or legal entity does not overlap with the data of persons or legal entities on the denied parties list.
